The county seat is in Santa Ana. John Wayne Airport sits locally in Santa Ana and can be reached via the 405 freeway. We also have a terrific bus system with the Orange County Transportation Authority covering all of Orange County. Their website offers a Bus Planner where you can type in your location and destination and it will map it out for you!

Not only does Orange County offer great public schools, they also have the Orange County High School of the Arts where students from all over the county can go and concentrate on their talents. The school was recently awarded the No Child Left Behind Blue Ribbon Schools award by the United States Secretary of Education. One of only 5 in Orange County and one of 35 in the entire state of California to receive this prestigious award in 2006.It is located on Main Street in Santa Ana.

For entertainment Orange County holds a fair orange county faireach year with wild and exciting themes. Each year brings something different and a color is chosen with a theme. The fairgrounds are located in Costa Mesa off of the 405 and 55 freeways. The fair lasts about 17 days in July and August. The Orange County fairgrounds have a wide array of entertainment for the whole family all year round. You can view their calendar of events at their website.And of course home of Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm and many more tourist spots.

The Orange County Harbors, Beaches, and Parks shows a multitude of various size parks in Orange County including the cities of Fullerton´s Craig Park , Brea´s Carbon Canyon and Buena Park´s Clark Park , as well as the newest park in Laguna Beach.

There are numerous newspapers to view online for all the latest happenings in and around Orange County. OC Weekly is a fun down to earth alternative newspaper that can really get people talking. For business minded people the Orange County Business Journal highlights local business and speculates where commerce in Orange County is headed. And for good advice and expert opinions the Orange County Business Council can get any help and often promotes seminars around the area. Locally, The Entrepenuer Magazine is based in Irvine and just has a supurb amount of information for anyone starting a business in California.
